A bit about me:

As a professional engineer with over 20 years of experience, Jocelyn has worked for major companies in Saskatchewan and British Columbia. She holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, and a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies, all from from the University of Saskatchewan. Jocelyn’s interdisciplinary research relies heavily on Rhetorical Communication as a solution to the barriers of retaining those from underrepresented and equity-deserving groups in Canadian workplaces.

Jocelyn recently completed her Ph.D. research as a Vanier Scholar at the University of Saskatchewan. Her PhD project focused on advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in the Saskatchewan mining industry and engineering profession, however, her findings are applicable to many Canadian workplaces.
